THE ROLE
Reporting to the Planning Manager, this role is critical in supporting the Cargo Crew planning team, along with maintaining data and providing analysis for the wider Cargo Crew business.
The Planning Assistant is someone with an analytical mindset who is also able to communicate well with the broader business, with the aim of helping us get the right product in the right quantity at the right time. The Planning Assistant should be able to adapt with change, thrive in an evolving environment and support the team to make further improvements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Stock Management
- Utilise NetStock to forecast and manage requirements for specific categories or suppliers in order to determine PO requirements by supplier in units and value;
- Engage with sales and marketing teams to understand demand for products, including potential sales orders, promotional uplifts and corporate range changes;
- Communicate and liaise with the production team on new product launch timings, update and review new product forecasts in NetStock;
- Monitor and report on back orders, stock allocations and made to order requirements as well as highlighting future sea freights to be prioritised and/or air freighted;
- Develop an excellent working knowledge of NetStock settings relating to parameters which influence the calculation of demand and supply in order to optimise inventory;
- Work with the planning team to ensure ongoing improvements and best practices
Fabric Management
- Work closely with our suppliers to ensure fabric orders are raised within lead-times and in accordance with MOQs in order to minimise risk of out of stocks;
- Monitor and provide reporting to the business on current fabric availability & liability
Client Sales and Stockholding Analysis
- Analyse corporate client sales and stockholding levels, to ensure stock is maintained within stockholding limits whilst ensuring sales orders can be fulfilled in accordance with service level requirements;
- Provide insights and recommendations to the sales team on corporate ranges, volumes and value, along with updating stockholding levels in NetSuite as needed
Data and Analysis
- Create and maintain SKU-level information in NetSuite & NetStock relating to inventory, assembly, third party and custom range: inclusive of product hierarchy, attributes, status, supplier, MOQ, barcode, HS code and pricing (cost and sell prices);
- Monitor, report and present to the business on key insights related to product performance for specific categories, new products, discontinued products;
- Provide other adhoc reporting to support decision-making as required;
- Provide coverage and support for other Planning Team roles during periods of absence
DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?
- Previous experience in planning or stock administration role would be advantageous
- Proficient in managing, analysing and drawing useful insights from large amounts of data using Excel and other systems (experience using NetSuite and/or NetStock would be advantageous, otherwise an ability to learn new systems quickly)
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail, commitment to accuracy
- Ability to think laterally and have a proactive approach
- A desire to work in an innovative and growing organisation and team, and to play a part in shaping the planning of products in a quickly expanding business
- Proven experience working productively and in a collaborative manner, encouraging a strong sense of cohesion across the team and business
- Understanding of, or exposure to, apparel, uniform or fashion industry
